We're thrilled to welcome our friends and neighbors back to "The Rita" for in-person performances of
"A Short and Sweet Nutcracker"!
With the COVID-19 pandemic The Studio is taking extra care to ensure that we are able to present a safe performance for all in attendance. Our talented cast of nearly 50 students will all be fully vaccinated or tested before taking the stage. Off-stage our crew and backstage help will also be either fully vaccinated or tested and, of course, they will all be fully masked and maintain social distance when possible.
As we prepared to head back into the theater after almost 2 years we sought out the best practices in our industry. The guidelines outlined below, developed and used in venues across the country, help ensure the safest possible live theater experience for all.
MASKS: All patrons, regardless of age, are required to wear a mask at all times while indoors. Masks must be well fitted, with multiple layers and cover the nose and mouth. Gaiters, face shields and masks with valves are not acceptable.
VACCINATION OR TESTING: Patrons ages 12 and up must present one of the following; verification of full COVID-19 vaccination, a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance, or a negative Rapid test taken within 24 hours of the performance. The test must be from a doctor, a community health center, or pharmacy and show the patron's name, date, time and type of test. Home tests are not acceptable. A photo ID must also be presented with name matching the vaccination card or test results. Minors are not required to show an ID when accompanied by an adult.
SEATING: Following UW-Parkside distancing guidelines all audience members will be seated one seat apart.
Please plan on arriving early as the vaccination/negative test verification process will take a little bit more time. There will be a table in the lobby specifically for the verification process. Unfortunately, late arrivals cannot be accommodated once the performance begins.
We understand that not all will agree with the above protocols. Right now, however, they represent the best solution to an unwelcome challenge. We do hope everyone, whether they agree or not, will understand and find comfort knowing that it is the safety of all involved that is first and foremost.
We truly thank you for your support and understanding during these challenging and unprecedented times.
By purchasing tickets you, and your guests, agree to follow the protocols outlined above.
